Granny loo kik ing car
By Keep a car for years | on Sunday, March 01, 2020
Owned it for 8 years, pain to work on. Very thick metal body not rusting but I have oil sprayed inside doors and underbody. Original exhaust but cats are shot. Would cost more than the car is worth to replace them but still runs good. It has the v6 and getting 28 mpg average both highway city combo. 33 highway driving.… - 5.0
Reliable and fun to drive
By george | on Monday, December 22, 2008
I bought it new in early 1995 and now have about 127K miles. The v6 w/ 5-speed manual tranny is smooth, quiet, zippy and gets 27-30 mpg driving to work (12 of the 23 miles on the freeway). Got a new water pump under warranty in year one. EGR port has been cleaned out twice (a "check engine" light issue), at 60K and 120K miles. Had new under-hood wiring harness, under special warranty provision, in ~year seven, due to flaky insulation. That never caused a failure, but it looked like a problem. Had new plugs, plug wires and rear brakes at 100K miles. Had an A/C hose replaced at 97K. Had a new ignition coil pack at 105K. The worst feature was the premium radio/cd, power antenna and speakers that all failed in the first five years, but they were cheap and easy to replace. The rest was routine tires, batteries, an oxygen sensor, oil and filters. The leather seats have worn well, still looking new except for the driver's that looks a little polished. Paint has weathered well, but the car has been garaged a lot. I keep it because I can't find a new car that's as much fun to drive, nor as comfortable, plus insurance is cheap. Now that the thing is nearly fully depreciated, I have dropped collision/comprehensive.… - 4.0
nice car
By tj | on Tuesday, August 28, 2007
I thank this car is a good car, my timing belt broke at 79,000 miles that could have been a disaster but with Fords free spinning engine it was no problem the car rides good and has nice handling I haven’t had any odd problems with this car except the fuel censer going out and it has 120,000 miles on it. Over all a good car.…
